Help is available
I was not really sure what I needed to replace my metal halide bulbs, but I called their phone line and they were able to help me find exactly what I needed.
Fixture size
Glad I called in, wanted to go with a bigger bulb but the fixture needs to have a few inches of clearance, solved why the LED bulbs were not lasting for me.
Sick Bulb
I like it
Great fit
I think the hardest thing about converting to LED is they come in different sizes and you need to make sure they will fit your fixture. I took my measurements and Rick on chat was able to help me find a comparable bulb. Worked out great
4000k
Wanted to go LED's but I did not have time to swap all my bulbs. I found out 4K is a warm color 5K is bright white and so on. Great info from the sales team, I love the bulbs and will slowly be replacing everything to LED
Bright
Being someone that knows very little about lighting I purchased this 12 watt bulb along with one of their 19 watt bulbs as I wasn't sure exactly how bright they would be. The 19 watt bulb was great, but stuck out of my fixture more than I expected so I ended up using it in my garage. Both bulbs work great!
Q: Are they dimmable? If not do you have any that are of a tube or corn design of same wattage?
A: We do not recommend using a dimmer for LED light bulbs. LEDs require constant current and it ends up humming, flickering and shortening the life of the bulb. We have yet to find any that pass our QC tests. We recommend fixtures that have 0-10v dimming in them.
Q: is this bulb dimmable?
A: This bulb is not dimmable.
Q: Does this lamp have a T4 base?
A: Unfortunately we do not stock anything at the moment with a T4 base. If you are looking to purchase these in bulk please give us a call to speak with a sales consultant to see what options we have available for you 800-674-9420 or you can reach us via email at [email protected].
Q: Will these fit a standard desktop lamp harp ? Can these be dimmed?
A: This bulb is 6.49" in length and 1.77" wide, you will need to measure the dimensions of your lamp harp to ensure fitment. We do not recommend using a dimmer for LED light bulbs. LEDs require constant current and it ends up humming, flickering and shortening the life of the bulb. We have yet to find any that pass our QC tests. We recommend fixtures that have 0-10v dimming in them.
Q: Are your corn bulb free of radio interference? I have some now that are not.
A: FCC does require LED light bulbs and LED Fixtures to comply with RF interference standards. However, LED lights are not required to be specifically certified if they operate below 9 KHz and utilize a switching power supply. The RuggedGrade branded Light bulbs and light fixtures that are UL Listed all operate below 9 KHZ and utilize a switching Power supply.
Q: Can I use these in a pendent light that has a glass encloser?
A: These bulbs can be used in an enclosed fixture as long as there is 1" of space around the bulb for cooling.
