Why LED Lighting is better than Traditional Lighting
LED lighting is better than traditional lighting for many reasons. LED lights are more energy-efficient, durable, versatile, and environmentally friendly than incandescent, fluorescent, or halogen bulbs.
No surprise that LED is predicted to be the next big in lighting technology. LED is gaining popularity even though the technology is still in the development stage. The shift towards green living plays well for LED lights and households are now starting to support the energy efficient LEDs. Today, there are large numbers that are beginning to use LEDs for their light needs. Here are some of the benefits and challenges of LED lighting:
400 Watt Metal Halide vs 150 watt LED High Bay Comparison

LED Warehouse Lights
When replacing old metal halides, the first step is to determine the old wattage. Knowing this will give you an idea for the correct amount of light to get. A very common 400 watt metal halide can be replaced by a 150 watt LED high bay light and feel a touch or about 10% brighter. (depends on the age of the bulb). If you want more light step up to a 240w , 300w or even 400w high bay light.

How do Driverless LEDs work?
Posted by Dara Greaney on 9/26/2016 to
LED Lights
Driverless LEDs, also known as Driver on Board or DOB technology, are a type of LED lights that do not need a separate driver to control the electrical current and supply clean DC power to the LED. Instead, they use a high voltage integrated circuit with regulating and switching chips to intelligently adjust the number of LEDs in a string during an AC line cycle so that the voltage of the LED string matches the instantaneous AC line voltage. This way, they can directly connect to the AC mains without any external driver modules.

How many lumens do I need from my LED Light? How Bright?
Posted by Dara Greaney on 8/27/2016 to
LED Lights
The brightness of LED lights depends on how many lumens they produce. Lumens are a measure of the total amount of visible light from a source. The more lumens, the brighter the light. However, the number of lumens you need from your LED light also depends on other factors, such as the size and shape of the area you want to illuminate, the height and angle of the light fixture, the color and temperature of the light, and the purpose and mood of the lighting.
To help you decide how many lumens you need from your LED light, you can use some general guidelines based on different types of lighting applications
